My identity is deeply rooted in our Kharia language, and it's crucial that we speak it at home, sharing everything with our families. Our jungle is a generous provider, offering mahul, which is full of vitamins. We make Mahula and Ladoo from it, giving them to our school children and pregnant mothers to ensure they are nourished. This is how we use what nature gives us for health. Our old dance songs and customs are precious, but they are slowly fading. We must teach them to our children, just as we teach them about all the forest products found here, explaining their uses in our traditional ways. This ensures our children grow up strong, connected to our heritage and the land.
