    Cultivate Many Streams of Income

Villagers are finding creative ways to start small businesses and leverage traditional farming to secure their livelihoods and support their communities.

    Cultivate Many Streams of Income
My vision is to build a stronger life for my family and our whole village. With a little support, I see many ways we can do this. I plan to start a small business, perhaps a grocery shop to meet everyone's daily needs, or a Nadda Papad Murukku business to create income. We also want to preserve our traditional farming, cultivating pulses like batri and tivra. This not only nourishes us but also gives us something to sell, increasing our income and ensuring we have seeds for the next season. It's about looking at what we have, creating what we need, and using the proceeds to help our children and improve our shared spaces, like renovating a damaged school playground.

    The recipe

Start diverse small businesses and leverage traditional farming to create local income streams and support community needs.
