In the old days, village elders resolved disputes, but now people go to court; we want to return to our previous state of self-governance.

Responds to — erosion of traditional self-governance
In the past, if there were quarrels or any convenience or problem in the village, five people would sit together and resolve them. The elder, whoever was there, whatever he said, would be decided accordingly. But nowadays, all people are going to courts. We want to return to our previous state and save our culture so that our future generation can know about our problems. We want to form youth committees, meet with villagers, and plant trees every year. We need to think of ways in which people can exercise democracy in a better way and use their collective power to exercise control.
