A Community's Call for Growth and Support

Residents of Maradipanga voice their daily struggles and collective aspirations for government assistance to cultivate better livelihoods, restore their environment, and build a more developed future.

A Community's Call for Growth and Support
In the villages of Maradipanga, daily life is a tapestry of hard work and persistent challenges. Farmers like Krishna Maulik and Binayak Nayak strive to cultivate their land, but are held back by the lack of timely seeds or financial constraints. "If the government provides assistance, I will remain grateful," shares one farmer, highlighting how even a loan of fifty thousand rupees could transform their ability to farm properly and powerfully support their families. Masons and mechanics, too, find their work hampered by insufficient materials and equipment, yearning for the support that would allow them to work actively and secure their families' futures, educating their children with less difficulty. Beyond individual livelihoods, the community grapples with pressing environmental concerns. "Due to excessive deforestation, we specifically have a shortage of water," laments a resident, noting the resulting lack of rain, wood, leaves, roots, food, and fruits. There's a strong desire for concerted efforts in afforestation, with calls for the government to plant trees and provide seed trees, envisioning a future where forests are protected and bear fruit, making farming more convenient. Fundamental infrastructure also presents hurdles. Villagers speak of bad roads that prevent movement and access, and problems with water supply even for basic household needs. These issues underscore a broader need for proper management and development that touches every aspect of community life. Residents like Ramesh Majhi articulate a grand vision: "I want to see our India developed by 2047, just like China has prominently developed among other countries, in terms of transport, education, health, and water." Across these voices, a clear message emerges: a heartfelt appeal for government support. Whether it's financial aid for farmers and artisans, resources for environmental restoration, or improvements to roads and water, the community believes that with this assistance, they can overcome their difficulties, nurture their families, protect their environment, and contribute to a vibrant, developed India.

My name is Krishna Maulik. My village is Saramuli. The Panchayat is Saramuli. Block Daringbadi. I am a good farmer. But I am not getting seeds at the right time. Therefore, if you would provide financial assistance, then I would collect or purchase more seeds and invest more in farming. I express my desire to benefit more. Therefore, if the government provides assistance, I will remain grateful to the government.

My name is Prasunna Pradhan. My village is Butedi. I am saying that I am educating my children with great difficulty. By cultivating ridge gourd, or wet land crops, or turmeric, I am educating my children with so much difficulty, sir. Please show me a little mercy. Okay, whether it's held or then it's held, it would have been better if it was let go.

It is only due to your (mere) invitation/request that there is a lack of trees and plants on the hills. As a result, we are not getting rain on time. Also, due to deforestation, wood, leaves, or roots, which were helpful for our survival, are not available. Therefore, we request the government to plant trees and plants in our forests as part of afforestation. And if some assistance was provided, it would have been good. Proper management.

My name is Kebananda Baliarsingh. I am a mechanic. If the government provides me 50,000 rupees in assistance to buy various types of equipment for this mechanic work, then I would be benefited by purchasing various materials for my mechanic work. Therefore, I request the government. Along with that, my family would also be benefited.

My name is Binayak Nayak. I am a farmer. I do farming well, but due to my financial constraints, I am unable to farm properly. Therefore, if the government had provided me with financial assistance of 50,000 as a loan, then by purchasing farming equipment, I could do more farming and get better yields from agriculture. I would be able to powerfully support my family. Hence, I request.

My name is Johan Pradhan. It would be very good if we protect the forest. And by planting various types of trees, it would bear fruit. And if we plant the existing mango trees, it would be very good. Along with that, if we are provided with various types of seed trees, it would be convenient for us for farming and crops.
